Chelsea Cox

Chelsea has studied music since she was about six years old and started taking piano lessons.  Chelsea has completed her Grade 9 Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations for both Voice and Speech Arts & Drama, and continues working toward her Grade 10, with the goal of eventually completing her ARCT in both areas.  She has competed and won in Speech Arts & Drama at the SMFA Provincial Final competitions.  Chelsea has her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Arts degrees in English literature from the University of Saskatchewan.  She has extensive choir experience, having sung with Saskatoon Children's Choir then in Greystone Singers at the U of S.

Chelsea teaches singing and speech arts in private lessons and group classes.



Heather Macnab

Heather has five ARCT diplomas in Piano, Singing, and Speech Arts & Drama.  She is in demand around Saskatchewan as a clinician in Speech Arts, and as a music festival adjudicator.  She has been on stage with Medicine Hat Musical Theatre as Mrs. Tottendale in The Drowsy Chaperone and as Mother Abbess in the Sound of Music and has been a part of the Calgary Opera Chorus in Eugene Onegin, Otello, Aida, Lucia Di Lammermoor, The Inventor, The Flying Dutchman and La Boheme.  Most recently she performed the one woman play, Shirley Valentine, at the Jasper Centre during a lull in the pandemic.  She directed 20 seasons of youth musicals in Maple Creek with shows including Anne of Green Gables, HMS Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, Seussical, Les Miserables School Edition and others.  Heather performs as a speech artist, and as a singer, and as a pianist, and loves to put people on stage.  Heather likes kids, likes music, likes singing!

Christine Hecker,M. Mus., Dip. Theatre Arts
Christine joined us just for our Music and Drama Day Camps in the summer of 2019, and she is currently available for zoom singing lessons.  

   

Christine Hecker is a Saskatchewan born, Ottawa based artist. She holds a diploma in theatre arts from Algonquin College and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Ottawa.

   

She has enjoyed a career in the Ottawa indie theatre scene as a stage manager, lighting designer, production manager and producer. She has enjoyed working on fringe plays, youth theatre festivals, original works, outdoor theatre, musicals, and the one time epic: The Ottawa Stage Manager Battle.

Since beginning her post-secondary musical journey she has enjoyed performing in choirs (including Beethoven's Ninth and Mahler's Second symphonies with NACO), solo recitals, and operas. Opera credits include Ms. Pinkerton in The Old Maid and the Thief, Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro, and the chorus of Don Giovanni and Die Zauberflöte (University of Ottawa), and member of the parliamentary chorus in Louis Riel (NAC/COC).
