Heather Macnab is available to come to your community and do speech arts workshops.  She has been going into schools for several years, usually hired by the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association to promote speech arts participation.  Her workshops are funny and engaging and entertaining, with kids being inspired and interested.  She is of course available as well for community groups or any other sort of event.

Heather's speech story:  Heather decided in 2010 that it was time to learn more about speech arts - so while in Calgary to sing with the opera chorus, and with way too much free time, she found a teacher through Mount Royal University and got to work.  She earned her grade 8, 9, and 10 speech arts exams with the Royal Conservatory of Music including all the written exams and practical exams, earning the Alberta gold medal for each (signifying the highest mark in the province).  She then did both her Teacher's and her Performer's ARCT exams, earning the gold medal which signifies the highest mark in Canada.  Now in addition to offering school workshops and studio workshops, she teaches private students and adjudicates speech arts in Saskatchewan music festivals.

SPEECH ARTS is such a valuable thing!  It's loads of fun and good for you too.

CHELSEA COX is also willing to come to your community to talk about speech arts!  She is currently working towards her grade 10 certificate in Speech Arts with the Royal Conservatory of Music, and has a masters degree in English from the University of Saskatchewan.
